Be my Valentine

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so today I am going to share a love potion.

Love Potion #1

- 10 ml of carrier oil

- 2 drops Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

- 3 drops Lavender (Lavendula angustifolium)

- 1 drop Rose (Rosa damascena or Rose centifolia)

Bergamot is uplifting and refreshing, it is also considered to radiate love and happiness, making it a great choice for our love potion. Bergamot can be photo-toxic, so avoid going in the sun for 12 hours after use, unless you have a furocoumarin free essential oil.

Lavender promotes peace, relaxes and balances. Lavender should be avoided in the first trimester of pregnancy, otherwise, it is considered safe.

Roses are always associated with love. The sale of roses spikes around Valentine's Day for very good reason, smelling roses is said to have an aphrodisiac effect and promotes feelings of happiness, peace and unconditional love. Rose should be avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy and never on children under 5 years old. In fact, I recommend never using essential oils on children unless advised by a professional.

You can use this love potion as a massage oil or as a perfume. You can also add it to 1 cup of bath salts and add to the tub.

Even is you don't have a Valentine, this is a great blend for yourself to enjoy. However you celebrate, have a wonderful Valentine's Day.

With lots of love,

Kimberly
