It's a long weekend!!!!

Happy Saskatchewan Day long weekend!!!!! For everyone else in Canada, Happy Civic Holiday long weekend!!!!!! What ever you call it, IT'S A LOOOOONG WEEKEND, yahoooooo!!!!!

This long weekend seems to be all about food. Here in Saskatoon, Rib Fest is on, The Fringe Festival is on Broadway, people are having BBQ's and going out for dinner on a patio somewhere. If you indulge in too many fried foods, one too many fizzy pops and feel over stuffed try this quick fix;

  • 3 drops of lemon essential oil

  • 2 drops of peppermint essential oil

  • 10 ml of carrier oil

Massage this onto your stomach and inhale deeply as you do. Sit back, relax and soon your tummy will be feeling better.

Safety Notes;

Lemon essential oil can be photo toxic, so avoid exposure to the sun for at least 12 hours after using. Lemon has calming properties to the digestive system.

Peppermint essential oil has tonic properties but should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation and can be an antidote to homeopathic medicines. Do not use on children under 5 years old or on animals. Avoid using on anyone with a history of epilepsy and cardiac fibrillation. Peppermint is stimulating, so avoid using when sleep is required.

It's going to be a hot one, so stay hydrated, put on a hat and have fun this long weekend.
